alsa-utils software package provides Utilities for configuring and using ALSA, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install alsa-utils
alsa-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the alsa-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep alsa-utils *
You will get with alsa-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
